Matthew 4:16 “These people who live in darkness will see a great light. And on those living and dwelling in a land overshadowed by death , a light will shine on them”
Truth sometimes makes enemies. The burden I carry urges me to speak but the fear of the Lord causes me to weigh each word so as to access its purity as one might test gold. Only those words which have been refined by the fire of His presence will break the chains that keep humanity bound to the limitations of the natural order. Those that sit in the darkness of this present age must see a great light. Where might that light come from that can shine bright enough to displace the darkness of souls separated from God?
John 10:10 Jesus said “The thief comes only so that he can steal and kill and destroy; I have come so that they may have life, and have it abundantly”
Could it be that we have allowed our lamps to be depleted of the oil of His presence and that our flame is burning ever dimmer as shadows cover the earth? Have we allowed the darkness of circumstance to cover the light of our union with Him?
Matthew 5:14-16 Jesus said “You are light for the world. A city cannot be hidden when it is located on a hill. No one lights a lamp and puts it under a basket. Instead, everyone who lights a lamp puts it on a lamp stand. Then its light shines on everyone in the house. In the same way let your light shine in front of people”
Take time while there is still time and wait before the Lord and fill your lamp with the oil of His presence. Let that light shine in your heart and it will change how you see the world in this hour. Let it shine in your home and on the street that you live. God has prepared an answer for every human need. It is the life and light of His Son that has been deposited in you and me.
1 John 4:4 “Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world”
We are each called to light up the night. We light it with a passion for His presence that will usher in a “New Day”.
2 Peter 1:19 “We have also a more sure word of prophecy and you do well to take heed, as unto a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts”
