Love Matures

1 Corinthians 2:10

“But God has revealed them to us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yea, the deep things of God”

As our Love for the Lord matures, we are emptied of self and filled with His life. The benefits of our relationship are not the driving force behind our time spent with the Lord each day. The spirit in us is ever hungering and searching for the deep things of God. Time in His presence has this “creative effect” on us. We begin to lose site of ourselves and the things that had hindered us just seem to wither in His presence. If you are hearing what the Spirit is saying today, it might be something like this;

“Wait, don’t go, don’t rush away without your portion for this day. Stay just a little longer. Open the door of your heart and invite me in. Lift up your head and “actively listen” and I will show you what must be. For it is here that everything I value is accomplished. Stand still and see, BE still and hear, BECOME the one I long for. My companion for eternity. Rejoice this day for I have gone before you and opened a door and prepared a way. I have anointed your lips with grace and your path with favor”
