Matthew 6:10 King “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven”
To have a kingdom you must have a King. What are you really praying for when you ask for the will of the King to be done in your life? You are asking that His government should come into your life and that means you no longer “run the show”.
Luke 6:46 Jesus said “Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord’ and don’t do what I say?”
When you call Him Lord it means that He becomes the authority and the “decision maker” that guides and controls every area of your life. Please make your personal calling and His election as Lord of your life sure by joining me in this prayer.
“Father God, I invite you to rule and reign in my heart through the life of Your Son. You are Lord of my mind, my attitudes, my thinking, my beliefs and my imagination. You are Lord of my emotions and the expression of my feelings. You are Lord of my will and all my decisions. You are Lord of my body, my health, my exercise, my diet, my rest and my appearance. You are Lord of my sexuality and its expression. You are Lord of my family and all my relationships. You are Lord of the work of my hands. You are Lord of my material things and my perceived needs. You are Lord of my finances, my plans, my ambitions and my future. Thank You for the blood that releases me from the consequences of sin and affords me the grace of Your life to walk each day in the light of Your Lordship”
If you prayed this prayer with me then lets walk it out together each day. Every step is one of freedom from the trap of self-centeredness into the joy of self-forgetfulness. The Gospel in 5 words “I live, yet not I”
Galatians 2:20 “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me”
