We are changed by Gods unchanging heart toward us. He is carrying us, if we are willing beyond the Church age and opening up to us the reality of His eternal Kingdom that was and is and is to come, right here, right now. Many of us have grown up in a religious environment that seems to put forth the idea that God is bipolar, He loves me, He hates me, He loves me, He’s angry with me, no He really loves me. It is a “religious spirit” that says that somehow, God sees me differently based on the ebb and flow of my performance. This is a spiritual roller coaster and not the road to maturity.

Malachi 3:6 “For I am the Lord, I change not”

You always know where you are with God. On your best day and your worst day, He is exactly the same. He never changes. Our faith must be placed in the “irrevocable trust” of God’s love and His unchanging promises.

James 1:16-17 (Living Bible) “So don’t be misled, dear brothers. But whatever is good and perfect comes to us from God, the Creator of all light, and he shines forever without change or shadow”

God doesn’t change the rules in the middle of our journey. He says over and over, this is who I AM, just so you know that you can learn to trust Him and cease from “religious labor” and enter in to His rest. Only in this environment of love and trust can the life of the Son be formed in you.

Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever”

The unchanging Gospel offers change you can believe in. He offers each of us “free exchange”. Your life for the life of His Son (crucified life). God is not looking to improve you but to remove you through the working of the cross. He is looking for the life of His Son in each of us. As we come into a more perfect union with Jesus, we will experience the peace of God that passes right by our understanding. Just then the life of the Son will be seen in our choices and heard in our voices to the Glory of God.
