Attitude in the Wilderness

How you think, the heart attitude you have, the words you speak and the actions you take while you are in the wilderness determines how long you will remain there. The wilderness is different for everyone. It is the period of time that begins just after you are saved and have taken the additional step of declaring His Lordship over your life before people, powers and principalities. When this is done from the heart, your spirit is released and you become aware that you have been born again from above. Just then things don’t actually get better but can become substantially more difficult as you are made aware for the first time of the opposition that the natural life offers to the Spirit. The wilderness is a place of preparation where you take your first steps in the Kingdom and it does not go unnoticed by the enemy of your faith. It is a place where you are reduced and broken until His presence becomes your source for living. He increases and you decrease until only He is seen and heard. It is a place where you are released from the power of the “self life” so that you may move in the power of the Spirit. It is a place where you learn to stop agreeing with the world and start decreeing from Heaven. It is here that you are called and then based on your heart reaction are chosen to enroll in the School of the Spirit. The most profound day of this school is your first trip to heavens library. It is here that you get your first glimpse of the book that God wrote about you before you were ever born. As you turn the pages in faith you will be lifted above the natural and become a unique expression of love and truth in the earth to the Glory of the Father.

Psalm 139:16 “Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book, they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them”
