Many years ago, when I was a teenager there was a girl in our community that confided in me that she was pregnant and was considering an abortion. I shared Gods heart with her, that He loved her and the gift of life that was living inside of her. I spoke of many things I knew to be true in love and in the end I told her if she would trust Him that He would make a way for her where she could not see a way and that she and her unborn child would be okay. She decided to trust God, so three lives were saved that day, mine because I was obedient to the prompting of the Holy Spirit to share how God viewed things and hers because she believed in her heart that God would be with her and her child’s who was born to be a gift from God.

Matthew 5:11 Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.

I don’t write about this topic a lot as most of my ministry in this area is one on one due to its very personal nature and the fact that a life hangs in the balance so the greatest care and spiritual sensitivity must be used. When you speak or write about this, the world will hate you and persecute you. This has been a burden of my heart for years and many tears have been shed in prayer. I remember reading an article in the Wall Street Journal in 2018 that in New York City more black babies were aborted that year than were born alive. At that time there were over 2,300 abortions performed each day in the United States. The total number of abortions that have taken place in the United States of America from 1973 until 2018 is 61.8 million.

2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land”

Our land is in the greatest need of healing. I invite Gods people to humble themselves and pray and seek His face that He might heal our land of this unthinkable tragedy.
