Romans 14:17 “For the kingdom of God is … righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit”

What is your “peace level” on a scale of 1-10. Anything less than 10 means you are offering some level of resistance to the Lord. Our soul is religious by nature, always wanting to stay in the “comfort zone” and hang on to what is familiar. It is deeply rooted in traditions that deprive the Holy Spirit of the opportunity to bring about change in our choices, relationships and circumstance. Anything less than complete surrender means living in something less than perfect peace. The Holy Spirits first task is to release us from all that originates from our ways and thoughts because these traditions and patterns of behavior void the creative word in our lives (Mark 7:13). You will lose your peace in some measure and have a difficult time being led by the spirit in certain areas of your life when you wrongly perceive the conviction of the Holy Spirit as condemnation from the enemy. Our time in the wilderness is extended when we don’t react to the conviction of the Spirit that is meant to bring about a course correction. The workaround of the spirit is a circle in the wilderness, another lap around the same track that brings us via a different circumstance back to the same point of heart recognition and surrender. God will never change His mind, so we must change ours. We may take the largest circle possible and go around the world, but we will find God again waiting for us at that point where we missed Him and left the narrow path of peace. The Lord will settle for nothing less than perfect peace. It is not a peace that the world gives but is available only through Him revealed in you by the Holy Spirit. The Lord wants to do a “New Thing” in you that fully releases you from your old identity. Don’t hide that light or allow is to be filtered by your words or the words spoken by others over you in the past. When the Son sets you free you are free in word and deed.

Isaiah 26:3 “You keep him in “perfect peace” whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you”
