Whatsoever ye do, work heartily, as unto the Lord, and not unto men” (Col. 3:23)

We live our lives “before people” but “unto the Lord”. It is the Lord that has called us not people. The Lord never merely appoints women and men to positions of service to His body as organized religion does. He creatively reveals His life in us by forming who we are on the inside through an intimate spiritual relationship and then He calls the attention of the body by the witness of the Holy Spirit to what He has done within that person.

Romans 11:29 “For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance”

The gifts and callings of God are for the “spiritual house” not the “natural house”. They are meant for His body and are to function everywhere you go. They are not just for your denomination or the building you meet in each week. The vast majority of your ministry will take place outside the walls of the church building. Our spiritual orbit must be around the body and not the building. How many people have you led to the building? How many people have you led to the Lord? IF you are faithful to your calling then I believe that most of the people that you minister to during your life journey with the Lord will never sit beside you in church, yet their need for personal ministry is real and your faithfulness to function as an evangelist, prophet or teacher in that moment will change their spiritual destiny.

Mat 9:37 “Jesus said to his followers, “There is such a big harvest of people to bring in. But there are only a few workers to help harvest them.”
