1 John 3:8 “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil”

I was standing in my kitchen praying in the home that I currently live in and what I believe was the angel of the Lord touched me in the center of my chest and I began to glow and light filled me and then filled the room and suddenly the kingdom of God came into view. Strangely enough my first reaction was “Lord, what are you doing here? I’m nobody special.” Then I just remained quiet as I sensed there was an impartation taking place and I was receiving His life and being sealed in a way I did not fully understand. I had always wondered why the Lord did not simply destroy the devil but at that moment I knew that it was our job to do that through prayer, through worship and by a walk of faithfulness and obedience.

John 8:44 (Amplified Bible) ‘Jesus speaking of the devil said; “…he does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks what is natural to him, for he is a liar and the father of lies and half-truths”

Through the life of the Son that as been deposited in us we are to shine His light into this world. We are to be bold and speak what we hear the Spirit of Truth saying and that will expose the lies of the enemy. The greatest lie relates to life. He offers false life, another kind of life that looks real but its counterfeit. Instead of a spiritual life that has eternal value, it is just a temporary soul life that he tempts us with. Do you know the difference between soul life and spiritual life? The difference is night and day.

Hebrews 12:1 “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us”

What you do on earth is seen in the spiritual realm. Your head is the gateway. Your heart must be guarded. There is no substitute for the light once it’s given to us by God. We are called to a deliverance ministry. I have ministered to people who have tried to cover the wounds of the past with alcohol, drugs, or even food. Because their pain is temporarily alleviated, they become addicted. Addiction is a trap that many have fallen into and they need true “one on one” ministry. They need the life, light and love of your ongoing relationship with the Lord to be poured into their spirit…. (this is an excerpt from a developing manuscript for a future book)
